Training and personal development are key elements in our continuing success and our commitment to you, the client. We have recently been awarded 'Investors in People' status and regularly update our skills base both in technical and personal development areas. The management team is IT literate, largely thanks to an EU-funded initiative, which has also given us an insight how landscape companies operate in other European countries. |
Tim has continued his involvement with EU-funded training projects in the fields of Forestry and Landscaping. He has carried out presentations, research and participated in seminars in Portugal, France & Spain Our staff have relevant certificates of competence in chainsaw and chipper use, and chemical application. We are all First Aid trained and have an unblemished Health & Safety record |

Hi, I’m Tim Hill. I set up Adzhill in 1987, initially working alongside an established forestry business of Adams & Co: so that’s where the strange name comes from. I have been working in the landscape and conservation field since the mid 1970’s and gained a degree in Environmental Studies from Wye College, University of London, before working for wildlife and woodland conservation charities. I am married and have two young daughters. What leisure time I have left is split between the classical guitar and a Ducati motorbike.

I’m Helen. I live in south of Lincoln in deepest darkest countryside. I was born and grew up in Cornwall, advanced to Devon to complete an BSc Hons in Rural Resources and their Management. I’ve worked for Adzhill Landscapes since October 1996 and during that time have gained further practical qualifications. I have undertaken a correspondence course on Garden Design and when time allows I’ll finish my own garden! I am married and have a young daughter: as she’s still in nursery school, I currently work on a freelance basis.

Hi, I am Richard. I am 26 years old and I live in Lincoln with my girlfriend. I originally come from Hornsea in East Yorkshire. After leaving school, I attended a 3 year NVQ course in Horticulture and Agriculture at Bishop Burton College near Beverley. I have now worked for Adzhill Landscapes for nearly two years. During those two years I have gained lots of experience and within the last six months I have become teamleader. In my spare time I am a keen motorcycle enthusiast and have recently passed my bike test. I also enjoy going to the pub and socialising.

Hello, I'm Richard Johnson. I work for Adzhill part-time, when my other job as an antique restorer and cabinet maker allows. I am fascinated by all aspects of wood and timber and it is satisfying to be involved in the complete cycle from planting, maintenance, harvesting and converting trees from objects of beauty in nature to crafted items such as chairs, tables and carvings. I've even made my own classical guitar, which I should perhaps play more often when parental duties allow. |

Hi, my name is Gavin. I took a National Diploma in Countryside Management at Bishop Burton College, before spending a year at Newton Rigg learning more about forestry. I hope to expand my skills base with Adzhill, whilst bringing my own blend of humour, knowledge and enthusiasm. When I’m not examining the innards of my Landrover, I enjoy hill walking. |

Hi, I'm Lee Gardner.
Okay, so I'm
the new boy but by the time this is updated, I'll be a fully-fledged
landscaper! I've always enjoyed being out and about in the countryside,
with several holiday jobs working on farms between GCSE's and A levels. I'm keen to channel my energy into learning new skills and am looking forward to gaining further land-based qualifications. In my spare time, I enjoy rough shooting, hiking and - you've guessed - meeting my mates in the local! |
