Whilst we would not claim to be at the cutting edge of garden design, nevertheless we are able to produce work in sympathy with the clients requirements and lifestyle, in harmony and context, that improves over time. Don't just take our word for it - have a look for yourselves!

An extension to the property required a redesign of the drive and entrance and enabled a boat-shaped pond to be incorporated within a series of interlocking curves. A raised cobble 'stream' was constructed behind the low retaining wall

| Here we transformed a small rockery and redundant pond into a usable patio, whilst at the same time exploiting the changes in level and developing small low-maintenance planting beds. An isolated seating area gave way to a small water feature, overlooked from a newly-built conservatory |

A large rectangular rear garden, overshadowed by a mature pine and given over mainly to rough grass was sub-divided and transformed by the use of curved open trellis, serpentine borders and bold structural planting. Separate seating and barbecue areas linked by a curving informal path, all in natural sandstone paving, enabled the owners to make full use of sunlight and dappled shade. |

A new build project provided a fascinating challenge as the house sat in the middle of a rectangular plot. The aim was to create a budget and low-maintenance design incorporating different aspects and moods from mown grass through to gravel garden, whilst working in harmony with the style and materials of the building. The owners wished to carry out the planting themselves, so we provided the structure, dug the borders and provided a planting plan. |

The owner had a clear brief here: to provide a generous and welcoming step up to the front door (the original was small, boxy and hazardous in damp and icy conditions) with a clear definition between gravel and grass. With a bit of persuasion, the design evolved to incorporate a change of levels, a raised border as well as a linking path through to the side garden. Materials were chosen to blend harmoniously with the red brick of the building yet delineating clearly the change in levels and functions. |

A narrow rectangular rear garden, which previously had a semi-shaded lawn with a thin strip of herbaceous border. The perspective was radically changed by the use of a bold geometric design, the stepped patio built with a mix of reclaimed materials. Full use was made of the sun/shade combination with culinary herbs, Mediterranean plants, ornamental grasses and ferns. |
